Our Mission / Notre mission
The mission of the Drummond Regional Soap Box Derby (DRSBD) is to educate and inspire youth through fair and honest competition and mentorship. With a primary goal to advance family values, the DRSBD provides an environment in which parents or other adults work hands-on with racers to install basic skills of workmanship, the spirit of competition, and the perseverance to complete a project from start to finish.
The DRSBD serves international youth, ages 7 - 20 and embraces diversity, facilitates lifelong friendships, teaches the application of math and science concepts and advocates the true spirit of teamwork and sportsmanship.
- SOAP BOX DERBY IS THE ONLY SPORT WHERE PARENT AND CHILD WORK TOGETHER AS A TEAM VS THE PARENTS SURRENDERING THEIR CHILD TO ANOTHER ADULT!
- DERBY IS A TRUE FAMILY SPORT!!
- NOT ALL KIDS CAN PLAY HOCKEY OR OTHER TEAM SPORTS BUT EVERY KID CAN BE A DERBY RACER!!!
La mission de la course régionale de boîtes à savon de Drummond (CRBSD) est d’éduquer et d’inspirer les jeunes à travers une compétition et un mentorat juste et honnête. Avec comme but primaire de faire avancer les valeurs familiales, la CRBSD offre un environnement dans lequel les parents ou d’autres adultes travaillent avec les jeunes afin de leur démontrer les compétences de base en fabrication de boîtes à savon, l’esprit de compétition et la persévérance afin de finir un projet du début à la fin.
La CRBSD sert les jeunes de toutes les nations âgés de 7 à 20 ans. La CRBSD encourage la diversité, facilite les amitiés à long terme, enseigne l’application de la mathématiques et des concepts de la science et défend le vrai travail d’équipe et l’esprit sportif.
- LA COURSE DE BOÎTES À SAVON EST LE SEUL SPORT OÙ PARENTS ET ENFANTS TRAVAILLENT ENSEMBLE, EN ÉQUIPE, PLUTÔT QUE DE VOIR LES PARENTS CONFIER LEUR ENFANT À UN AUTRE ADULTE!
- LA COURSE DE BOÎTES À SAVON EST UN VRAI SPORT FAMILIAL!!
- CE N’EST PAS TOUS LES ENFANTS QUI PEUVENT JOUER AU HOCKEY OU À D'AUTRES SPORTS D'ÉQUIPE MAIS TOUS LES ENFANTS PEUVENT ÊTRE PILOTES DE COURSE!!!
